Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Upon arrival in Kathmandu, meet & greet in the airport; transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Hotel at Kathmandu.
Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. The drive from the Kathmandu international airport to hotels in Kathmandu is not long as the airport is in the middle of the city, in 20/30 minutes are in the Hotel. Check into Hotel. After checked in you are on your own for the rest of day.
Day 02: Full day sightseeing tour of Boudanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Bhaktapur city. In Kathmandu
After breakfast start tour of Kathamndu valley visiting Boudanath Stupa first. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the oldest monument in Kathmandu valley and one of the first monuments with a written history. One of the biggest pilgrimages for Tibetans the area around this stupa is also known as the little Tibet in Kathmandu. This was listed in the UNESCO’s world heritage site list in 1979 A.D.
Next is Pashupatinath temple, the most important shrine for Hindus in Kathmandu. Although non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple premises, the cremation that takes place around the Pasupatinath temple area is interesting for travelers. Listed as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1979 this area has a lot of Sadhus/Hindu holy men who are center of attraction for many travelers.
Finally you visit Bhaktapur city. This city is still on the fringe of medieval age. Known as Bhadgaon, it is famous for making mask. Their mask dance is very impressive. Square around the palace (Durbar Square) has many temples built in pagoda style. Famous are a five storied Nyatapola temple built in 1708 AD and Dattatrya temple built in 1427 AD. The intricately carved peacock window and numerous fountains inside the palace are other attraction.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan ( 175 kms – 5 hours drive) – In Chitwan. Jungle activities
After breakfast drive to Chitwan. It is the largest and the best known safari in Asia – The Chitwan National Park. Start half day jungle activities. (Two nights package includes Elephant safari, Canoeing (Crocodile hunt), Visit to Elephant breading center, Jungle walk/ village walk, bird watching, Cultural program.).Lunch / Dinner and over night in resort at Chitwan.

Day 05: Drive from Chitwan to Lumbini – 148 kms – 3.5 hours drive. In Lumbini
After breakfast drive to Lumbini and check in at the hotel. Visit Lumbini Sacred Garden and monasteries and surroundings. Overnight stay in the hotel at Lumbini.
Day 06: Visit Tilaurokot in the morning,latter drive to Pokhara (192 kms/5 hours drive). In Pokhara
After breakfast drive to Tilaurkot, 27km west of Lumbini. An important archaeological site, Tilaurkot evokes the ancient palace of King Suddhodhan, Siddhartha Gautam''s father, where the Buddha spent his formative years as a Shakya prince. The Kapilvastu Museum in Tilaurkot holds coins, pottery, jewelry and ornaments from 700 BC-400 AD. A must for archaeology and history buffs. After this you continue to travel to Pokhara.
Pokhara is situated at an elevation of 915m above sea level and 200 km west of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The richness of valley in pure natural beauty is indeed one of the main attractions to the visitors from all over the world. Just imagine the joy of observing the majestic Himalayas, three peaks above 8000m from an elevation of below 1000m within a very close aerial, distance. The valley is equally superb giving as they do elevated close-ups to the snowy peaks. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence summits like Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) (6977m) and the five peaks of Annapurna range rising behind it create an ambience of peace and magic. Pokhara is the land of the Magars and Gurungs who have earned worldwide fame as Gurkha soldiers. Brahmins, Chhetris and Thakalis are other major communities here.
Day 07: In Pokhara. Sunrise and sightseeing tour of Pokhara with an hour boating in phewa lake.Overnight in hotel at Pokhara
Early morning sunrise tour at Sarnkot. Enjoy an eye fest of the Annapurna range to the north and overlook the Phewa Tal and the valley of Pokhara to the south and east, you drive to Sarankot for stunning views of Annapurna range. Return to Hotel for breakfast. Latter sightseeing includes visit of Fewa Lake and Davi's fall. Lake in the immediate vicinity of the city is Phewa Tal with an Island temple dedicated to Goddess Barahi in the middle. With its serene water reflecting the Annapurna range and a nicely preserved forest on the adjoining southern slope, this legendry second largest lake of the Kingdom remains a major source of attraction for the visiting tourists. It can be explored in canoes locally known as doongas which are available on rent at several points on the lake. This lake can also be enjoyed by swiming and fishing. Fishing rods can be taken on rent from the lake side shops. Visit to the Davi's Fall locally known as Patale Chhango in the southern flank of the Pokhara valley left of the Siddartha Highway is amazing. At this point the stream overflowing Phewa lake suddenly collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gorge, leaping through several patholes before taking a final plunge.
Day 08: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (200 kms / 5 hourd drive). Quick tour of Patan and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Evening farewell dinner with cultural program.
Drive early to catch two important places to see before you leave Nepal. The drive is scenic and lovely. Quick visit to Patan Durbar Square, unlike most of other cities in Nepal Patan has majority of Buddhist population. The Patan city has more than 136 Buddhist monasteries and only 50 Hindu temples. Patan Durbar Square is famous for the south Indian style, Krishna temple, the sunken bath, the tall temple of Taleju and the golden temple. Patan Durbar Square is also famous for carvings done in metal, wood and stone.
After Patan visit to Kathamndu Durbar Square which was the historic seat of Shah Dynasty. The Durbar Square, with its old temples and places, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. It is here that Kings of Nepal are crowned and their coronations solemnized. Interesting things to seek here are; Taleju Temple built by King Mahendra Malla in 1549 A.D., Kal Bhairav, the God of destruction, Nautalle Durbar, Coronation Nasal Chowk, the Gaddi Baithak, the statue of King Pratap Malla, the Big Bell, Drum and the Jagannath Temple.
In the evening you will be taken farewell dinner that offers cultural program.
Day 09 Free till the departure time. Transfer to the airport to board the flight to the onward destination.
