Red Reach Himalaya Trek is an adventure travel and tour operator based in Nepal, specializing in Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, and India. We offer a wide range of services, including trekking, walking tours, bicycle tours, horse trekking, and nature and wildlife tourism across these regions. Our primary focus is on the Himalayas, one of the most fascinating areas in the world. We also offer exciting festival tours, showcasing the diverse cultures and religions that call the Himalayas home, each celebrating its own unique traditions throughout the year.
We are deeply committed to responsible travel, striving to minimize, and where possible, offset the negative impacts our travels may have on the environment and local communities. Our expertise lies in crafting personalized adventures for small groups, but we also provide a range of exploratory tours and fixed departures each year. Many of our clients choose custom or private trips tailored to their specific interests, or select one of our scheduled departures and personalize it with their own preferences.
We know exactly what we offer. The person you interact with is the same one who plans your trip, answers your questions, oversees operations, and advises you on the best itinerary for a lifetime experience. We don't boast or mislead you with different administrative departments. We handle everything personally. We don't have call center staff, a reservations department, or an operations department. Instead, we ensure that only one person works with you throughout the entire process— from planning to overseeing operations—so you receive firsthand information and personalized service from the first email to the last day of your trip. We consider ourselves fortunate to spend each day doing what we are passionate about: turning dreams into reality. When you work with Red Reach Himalaya, you'll be dealing directly with those responsible for the logistics of your trip.
You can choose between adventure and comfort. In addition to our adventurous tours, we offer a variety of luxury tours where you will stay in comfortable hotels while exploring the stunning landscapes, authentic cultures, and festivals of Mustang, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Northeast India, Sikkim, Tibet, and Bhutan. As avid travelers ourselves, we can't resist the temptation to share with you some of the most wondrous places we've discovered outside the Himalayas as well.
For many of you the tours you will find here will merely serve as examples. Tour designing and tailoring is daily business to us. We can adjust tours to your budget, desired level of comfort, and special interest. We will never say no for your small request like picking in the middle of night from Kathmandu airport or just book an overnight hotel or buy a bus tickets, etc. Apart from tours in the highlighted areas on this site, we can arrange trips to other parts of the Himalayas and elsewhere.

Ramesh was flexible and responsive to our needs as we had a certain amount of time to complete a trek and helped us tailor the experience to our needs. From then on we were well taken care of. From the moment we landed in Kathmandu through to the end of our trek, the people at Red Reach Himalaya were professional and supportive. Our guide, Bhim, took excellent care of us and was always kind, friendly, and communicative. He made sure we had enough to eat, the best rooms available in each stop on our journey, and was more than happy to give us a history or language lesson along the way. He would also be there to make sure we followed local customs and traditions, letting us know what was and wasn’t proper to do. Our porter, Indra, was nothing short of incredible. He was constantly smiling and ready to help us with whatever we needed as well. The staff at Red Reach Himalaya Trek went the full mile to ensure our comfort and happiness on what was an excellent journey from start to finish. The trek itself was outstanding and each place we stopped felt like home. I really couldn’t recommend this trekking company more. Everyone we interacted with at Red Reach Himalaya Trek was genuine and kind. Tips: - Red Reach Himalaya was able to offer a trip for the two of us. If you want a more private experience, make sure to ask. We saw larger groups walking together so depends on your preference. - We packed an all-in-one soap/laundry detergent from SeaToSummit that came in handy when we needed to do a quick clothes wash or hand wash. A small bottle will go a long way on a long journey (ours was two weeks). - You can walk from Machhakhola (the starting point of the Manaslu/Tsum Valley trek) to Jagat and vice versa. Or you can hire a ride on a jeep. Explore both options with your group and trekking company. Or you can walk one way and ride on the jeep in the other direction. - In general, each stop will provide you with whatever essentials you need. The villages and guesthouses you encounter earlier on your way will have better equipped shops so make sure you stock up on any forgotten items (toilet paper, poncho, etc.) before going further on your journey. The shops get smaller but each village will have beds, tea, and food. Thank you Red Reach Himalaya! Namaste. Emma DrinnanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Red Reach Himalaya coordinated a wonderful trip for me and my partner. We spent 2 weeks in the Tsum Valley. We explored many Gumpas and rural mountain villages and were amazed by the mountain scenery. Bhim, our guide was absolutely terrific and took really good care of us. He was knowledgeable, professional and safety oriented as well. Our porter Indra was also very friendly and did an awesome job. Would recommend our experience with Red Reach as Ramesh takes care of you right from when you land at the airport and makes sure you are happy and comfortable. Thank you very much! In the late 70s I went to the mighty Himalayas for the first time. In the following 40+ years I made treks almost every year and climbed several peaks, from the Hindu Kush and Karakorum in Pakistan to the eastern Himalayas in Darjeeling. More than 100 weeks my boots were on the ground in this fantastic landscape. Alone, with a friend and also as a tour guide of the Royal Dutch Alpine Club. My most recent trek was in 2024 from November 5 till 26 with a friend to Tsum Valley in the Manaslu area. Of course I have seen a lot in all those years and learned from my own and other people's mistakes or underestimation. I have met many hikers and climbers. The majority is physically and mentally well prepared. Sometimes the circumstances gave unexpected difficulties, or they were ultimately not sufficiently prepared. And for me? A couple of times I couldn’t reach my goal. Due to wrong timing, collapsed bridge, bad weather, route blocked by landslide or getting sick. Unfortunately a few accidents like a twisted ankle, altitude sickness and a broken collarbone. The last one on a really easy part of a trek, due to a collapsing trail! My lesson: Don’t overestimate your skills, this shows us; we are only human after all. You realize you`re depending on someone who can help you. Good preparation for a trek or climb in the Himalayas is not only being physically and mentally well prepared and determine your goal! An important part of the preparation is to arrange a good back-up from an agency in Kathmandu. They must have extensive knowledge of the conditions, a large network and able to take the right action when necessary. They are also very convenient for arranging a good guide and porter, local transport, route information and so on. For the past 20+ years I worked with Ramesh Hughes as manager of a trekking agency. Now, for several years, he is the owner of Red Reach Himalaya Trek P. Ltd. For arranging my treks, guides, porters and local transport he always arranged everything down to the last detail. At the moments when I really needed help for my members or myself in the mountains, Ramesh responded in a perfect way. His knowledge, approach, helpfulness and network proved to be excellent. Believe me, at these moments that is a very big relieve! I highly recommend Ramesh Hughes and his team from Red Reach Himalaya Trek P. Ltd as your trekking agency. You will never be disappointed. Be safe and enjoy the fantastic Himalaya´s as much as you can! Namasté, Tom Franken, Holland Dirk Van de HeyningTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dear Red Reach Himalaya team We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for organizing such a phenomenal trek to ABC. We were handled with care and attention to detail. The itinerary was well paced, perfect balance between comfort and challenges, allowing us to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. We faced some unexpected challenges but we carried on with Sarbajeet Tamang's( our guide) encouragement and support. He deserves special recognition. He also ensured our safety, shared stories about the cultures, mountains, enriching our journey. He also ensured we were fed and watered and received much needed rest. Our porter Anil was also supportive and cheerful despite physically demanding task of carrying supplies. Reaching ABC was surreal and emotional moment and we couldn’t have asked for better team to share it with. This trek will remain one of the most cherished experience in our life and we are already thinking of planning another one with Red Reach team. Thank you for making this journey memorable. We will not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone seeking adventure to himalaya in Nepal. We've had a wonderfull journey in Nepal, organised by Red Read Himalaya Treks. We thank Ramesh for the good organisation and the personal attention during our stay. During our stay we could reach the Red Reach-agency anytime (when we needed any help). It was no problem that we made changes in our itinerary (on very short notice). We visited two cities: Kathmandu and Pokhara, both with guided tours and our private sightseeing. This was a good start to learn more about the country, the people and the religions, etc. After this we did first the Poonhill-trek (5 days) and later the Manaslu-trek (15 days). At the end of our stay we visited Chitwan National Park (and saw elephants, rhinoceros, monkeys, birds ...). In Kathamndu we had the help of a guide and and a driver, who were very experienced. Our guide Ramila knows everything you want and need to know. We did two very pleasant trekkings with Hit as guide and Prim as a very strong porter. Both are very pleasant and gentle men, very capable and experienced in the mountains and with a lot of knowledge of the culture. Chitwan was a pleasant and totally different part of our journey. It was a good way to end our adventure here.
