The area us heart of Sherpa people called Sherpa land. Many of our trek guides comes from this villages. Visiting local monasteries is a highlight on this trek, the Chewang Monastery is one such an opportunity.
People are here mostly Tamang, Magar and Sherpa, you will experience their lifestyle and cultures.
Dramatic scenery of mountains, landscapes, Mani walls and Buddhist stupas bounds, beautiful high altitude vegetation, Himalaya floras and faunas, centuries old monasteries are highlights of this trek.
Visiting Thupten Chholing Monastery, a huge Tibetan Buddhist monastery where you can observe traditional Tibetan medicinal therapy. Situated 3000m, it has more than 450 monks chanting both inside and outside. This trip can be combined with a family trip as well.
Day 01: Kathmandu – Phaplu (2470m) – Salleri (2390m) – 5 hours walk – Guest House accommodation.
Day 02: Trek to Pattale (2840m) – 7 Hours walk – Guest House accommodation.
Day 03: Trek to Jhapre (2820m) -6 Hours walk – Guest House accommodation.
Day 04: Trek to Pikey peak (4065m) – 6 Hours walk – Guest House accommodation.
Day 05: Trek to Junbesi (2700m) – 5 Hours walk – Guest House accommodation.
Day 06: Excursion to Thuptenchholing, return to Junbesi for overnight – 5/6 hours – Guest House accommodation.
Day 07: Trek to Phaplu (2470m) – 6 Hours – Guest House accommodation.
Day 08: Fly to Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel. End of service.
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to domestic airport to fly Phaplu. Walk to Salleri bazaar, visit Chewang monastery is the highlight of the day.
Trek from Salleri to Pattale, you will experience changes in socio cultural aspect of the people namely Tamangs, Magars and Sherpas ethnic groups. Not only this, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountains and landscapes and visit of monasteries, mani walls and Buddhist stupa at Kerung.
Commence trek via wild orchid follower, encountering beautiful landscapes, monasteries and Buddhist stupa in Jhapre.
This is the highest point of the trek that gives an experience to climb small peak called Pikey (4065m), also whil on trek you will see high altitude vegetation, and Himalaya floras and faunas. The place is majestic, you find centuries old monasteries, Buddhist stupas and mani stones. The yak herding can be seen at different places.
While trekking up to Pikey, you get to see the panoramic view of Himalayas from Mt. Kanchenjunga to Dhaulagiri including Mt. Everest. After you cross Pikey peak you walk down through unique landscape to Junbesi valley.
Leisurely start trek to visit great Thuptenchholing Monastery, observe traditional Tibetan medicinal therapy. Chat with nuns and locals. Relax and meditate at the monastery.
Today’s walk on a popular market of Phaplu is relatively easy. Enjoy your day.
Fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu which takes about 35 minutes, upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.
