Mustang Heli Trek

4 days Mustang Heli Trek is in the western zone of Nepal and almost all of its northern half projects into Tibet, while the southern half is bordered by the three districts – Dolpa, Myagdi and Manang.

Mustang Heli Trek is the ultimate gateway to the mysterious world of the old Buddhist kingdom of Mustang, also called Lo. Once forbidden and isolated from the rest of the world for decades, the area was able to evolve within its own distinctive culture and rich traditions closely tied to Tibet. This moderate, lesser-known trek passes through one of the driest regions of Nepal and provides spectacular mountain scenery.

Outline itinerary:
Day 01: Eklobhatti (3650m) – Stay in a normal Guest House
Day 02: Tsarang (3500m) – Stay in a normal Guest House
Day 03: Lo-Manthang (3700m) – Stay in a normal Guest House
Day 04: Fly out to Kathmandu in the morning.

Detail Itinerary of Mustang Heli Trek :
Day 01: Eklobhatti (3650m) – Stay in a normal Guest House
Fly to Kagbeni in the morning by Helicopter. Trek to Eklobhatti. The trek goes through Tangbe, Chusang, Chele and Samar before reaching to Eklobhatti.

Day 02: Tsarang (3500m) – Stay in a normal Guest House
Trail proceeds and passes Giling and Ghami on the way to Tsarang. The area is mainly populated by Managis, an ethnic group whose language, culture and traditions are almost purely of Tibetan origin.

Day 03: Lo-Manthang (3700m) – Stay in a normal Guest House
About 5 hours trek takes you to Lo-Manthang. The country side in and around Lo-Manthang has striking similarity to the Tibetan plateau with its unending expanse of yellow and gray rolling hills eroded by the inclement winds. Houses and temples are made from stone and sunbaked mud bricks. You cannot fail to notice the city wall and four-storied palace of Lo-Manthang. The religion followed is Tibetan Buddhist.

Day 04: Fly out to Kathmandu in the morning.
Breakfast at the Guest House. Explore around until Heli come to pick up, fly back to Kathmandu. Pickup and transfer to Hotel.

Cost: US$ 3200 per person (minimum 5 person)

Cost is based on using one helicopter with 5 person. Change on number of participants will change the price, we will advise accordingly.
