Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu. In Kathmandu
As you fly into Kathmandu, you'll have beautiful views over the city, the Himalaya, and of the terraced fields below. After going through customs, a representative will be waiting to greet you and guide you through the initial culture shock of Kathmandu’s narrow, winding streets to get you settled into your hotel.Once you've settled in, You have a free time to explore the city or just rest at hotel from your jetlag. In the evening, the tourist hub of Thamel is a good place to grab your first meal, with a variety of restaurants to choose from offering both Western and local Nepali dishes.
Day 02: In Kathmandu – Guided tour of Kathmandu: Boudanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Bhaktapur city. In Kathmandu
After breakfast start tour of Boudanath Stupa. The stupa of Boudhanath lies 8 kms east of Kathmandu. This ancient colossal stupa is one of the biggest and the center of Buddhism in the world. It was listed in the UNESCO Heritage Monument in 1979. Next is Pashupatinath Temple that is situated five kilometers east of Kathmandu and it is the temple of lord Shiva - Pashupatinath with two tiered golden roof and silver doors which is famous for its superb architecture. This is a place where local wish to cremate to after their death. It would be a time to learn what we can leave behind as our legacy that life finishes in no time. Finally, visit of Bhaktapur Dubarbar Square -this city is still on the fringe of medieval age but well preserved and worth visiting. The city is known as Bhadgaon, is famous for making mask and pottery work. Their mask dance is very impressive. Square around the palace (Durbar Square) has many temples built in pagoda style. Famous are a five storied Nyatapola temple built in 1708 AD and Dattatrya temple built in 1427 AD. The intricately carved peacock window and numerous fountain inside the palace are other attraction.
Day 03: Kathmamdu to Pokhara (200 kms – 6 hours drive)
After having early breakfast, leave Kathmandu on a tourist bus, enjoy the scenery on the way until you get to Pokhara. Check into one of the cozy hotel in Pokhara at Lake side, evening stroll around lake side. In Pokhara. Pokhara is situated at an elevation of 915m above sea level and 200 km west of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The richness of valley in pure natural beauty is indeed one of the main attractions to the visitors from all over the world. Just imagine the joy of observing the majestic Himalayas, three peaks above 8000m from an elevation of below 1000m within a very close aerial, distance. The valley is equally superb giving as they do elevated close-ups to the snowy peaks. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence summits like Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) (6977m) and the five peaks of Annapurna range rising behind it create an ambiance of peace and magic. Pokhara is the land of the Magars and Gurungs who have earned worldwide fame as Gurkha soldiers. Brahmins, Chhetris and Thakalis are other major communities here. You stay near the famous Phewa Lake. Boating or just strolling around lake is fabulous.
Day 04: Trek to Tadapani (2630m) - 5 / 6 hours walk
After breakfast, drive to Kimche below Ghandruk village (2713m). Explore some time at Ghandruk. Ghandurk is one of largest village in this region with beautiful people and beautiful houses. Walk to Tadapani. It is more or less 5 hours walk. After leaving Ghandruk we will be walking through forest and stay at Tadapani.
Day 05: Tadapani to Dobato (2630m) - 6 / 7 hours walk
After breakfast, trek to Dobato. This day’s trek would be through dense forest. Spring time would be great when rhododendron flower blooms all throughout the jungle and it just fabulous. If we are lucky enough we will see monkeys and some pheasants etc. Till Isharu it is uphill walk, after Isharu walk to Dobato is fairly easy. The views from Isharu are breathtaking, you get panoramic views of Mt Annapurna II, Mt Annapurna IV, Mt Ganesh Himal and many more. Overnight at Dobato.
Day 06: Day trip to Hidden lake. - 6 hours walk
In the morning walk to the view point Muldhai (tower) to see the magnificent views that allows you to see bird eye views of Himalayas such as Mt Dhaulagiri I (7th highest) , Mt Annapurna I (9th highest) in the world and, other peaks. Return back to lodge for breakfast. After sometime you walk to a hidden lake, locally known as Pude Taal (Lake). A temple is located there beside the lake that belongs to Pude Baraha. We would be taking pack lunch for this day as it is isolated place and area is hidden and no lodges are close by. Return back to Lodge for overnight and rest.
Day 07: Dobato to Khopra Hill (3640m) - 6 hours walk
After breakfast trek to Khopra Danda (Hill). There is two route to this hill. The upper route is adventurous as this goes straight up to the hill. The lower route is little longer but easy and takes you there via Chistibang. Depending upon the route we choose our lunch stop would be either Bayali or Chistibang. There is a single teahouse on this hill. Our night stay will be in Khopra Danda.
Day 08: Day trip to Khayer Lake (4560m) - 7 hours walk
After having breakfast enjoying the surrounding scenery. packing our lunch we will set out our legs to get to khayer taal (lake). even in this lake nearby one Baraha temple is located. during the month of August one gathering occurs from the lower villages to worship goddess on that day. Local festival which is known as Janai Purnima. After lake visit return back to the lodge rest and relax.
Day 09: Trek to Ghorepani (2850m) - 6 hours walk
After Breakfast, trek to Swanta (2270 m) and to Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a large village on this region with beautiful people and houses, it has many hotels and bakery shops, mostly people are Mager and Gurung who serves in the British and Indian army. This place used to be transit point to traders whey they do business with Tibet, they used to stop at this place to feed water to their horse and mules, thus the name of the place became Ghorepani. Overnight at Ghorepani.
Day 10: Ghorepani to Pokhara. Transfer to Hotel.
Early morning, trek to Poonhill. Poonhill is a view point about a an hour uphill walk to catch the magnificent sunrise view over the Himalaya and the scenery from top is just breathtaking. You will see a memorial tower in memory of Late Maj. Tek Bdr. Pun. Return to lodge for nice breakfast and walk down toward Pokhara. You walk through forest until Banthati. In Ulleri you stop for lunch It is told that you will walk through more than 3500 steps. From Hille we will be collected by jeep and drive back to Pokhara. Transfer to Hotel.
Day 11: Drive to Bandipur (60 km – 2 hours drive). Overnight in Bandipur.
In the afternoon, you'll be met by your driver and head to Bandipur, a beautiful hilltop village 2-3 hours drive east of Pokhara. It is a small town perched high on a ridge, at 1030 meters. As the center of the town is pedestrianized, you can walk among the red-brick temples and traditional old homes without the same stress of traffic as in Kathmandu. Bandipur used to be an important center of garment manufacturing and was a trading stop along the India-Tibet route. You'll arrive just before sunset in time to enjoy the views, explore the village, and take in a meal at your hotel overlooking the valley below.
Day 12: Drive to Kathmandu (120 km – 4 hours drive)
After Breakfast, we drive to Kathmandu. Stay in Kathmandu.
Day 13: Visit Bhaktapur and Kathmandu Durabar Squares
After breakfast – enjoy Bhaktapur -This city is still on the fringe of medieval age. Known as Bhadgaon, it is famous for making mask. Their mask dance is very impressive. Square around the palace (Durbar Square) has many temples built in pagoda style. Famous are a five storied Nyatapola temple built in 1708 AD and Dattatrya temple built in 1427 AD. The intricately carved peacock window and numerous fountain inside the palace are other attraction. You can extend the tour to Changunarayan (temple) located on a hill top. Finally you return to see Kahmandu Durbar Square which was the historic seat of Shah Dynasty. The Durbar Square, with its old temples and places, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. It is here that Kings of Nepal are crowned and their coronations solemnized. Interesting things to seek here are; Taleju Temple built by King Mahendra Malla in 1549 A.D., Kal Bhairav, the God of destruction, Nautalle Durbar, Coronation Nasal Chowk, the Gaddi Baithak, the statue of King Pratap Malla, the Big Bell, Drum and the Jagannath Temple.
Day 14: Departure transfer to international flight.
Free time until departure for your own activities. Transfer to airport, depart Kathmandu
