Quick outline Itinerary:

Day 01: Upon arrival in Kathmandu, meet and greet at the airport; transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Hotel at Kathmandu.
Day 02 Breakfast in hotel. Exploration tour to Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath and Kapan Monastery and drive further to Dhulikhel. Overnight in Hotel at Dhulikhel
Day 03 Breakfast in hotel. Visit Namobuddha monastery, drive back to Kathmandu
Day 04 After breakfast drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Overnight in hotel at Lumbini.
Day 05 Breakfast in hotel. Full day sightseeing of Kapilbastu – Buddhist temples, monastery and religious activities. Overnight in hotelatLumbini.
Day 06 Fly back to Kathmandu. Sightseeing of Asura Cave and other Buddhist Monastery in south of Kathmandu.Overnight in hotel at Kathmandu.
Day 07 Free till the departure time. Transfer to the airport to board the flight to the onward destination.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Upon arrival in Kathmandu, meet and greet at the airport; transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Hotel at Kathmandu.

Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. The drive from the Kathmandu international airport to hotels in Kathmandu is not long as the airport is in the middle of the city,in 20 minutes time you are in the Hotel. Check into Hotel. Your are on your own for the rest of day.

Day 02: Breakfast in hotel. Exploration tour to Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath and Kapan Monastery and drive further to Dhulikhel. Overnight in Hotel at Dhulikhel.

Swayambhu Stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swayambhu is also known as Samhengu and is listed as a World Heritage Site. It is also one of the oldest and glorious Buddhist shrines in the world which is said to be two thousand years. The four sides of the stupais painted with the eyes of Lord Buddha and the temple is also known as the watchful eyes of Buddha. Our guide can lead you inside the monastery and offer butter lamps for your any reason.

Next is Bouddhanath Stupa, largest stupa in the Valley and one of the largest in the world. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design with hundreds of prayer wheels and 108 small images of Buddha all around. Just like the Swayambhunath, the stupa here is too has four sides with the watchful eyes of Lord Buddha. All the Buddhist throng to this stupa to take part in the sacred rituals during the Buddhist festivals.There are more than 45 Buddhist monasteries in the area. Many have schools that teach young monks like those pictured here.

Later visit Kopan Monastery just north of the ancient Buddhist town of Boudhanath is the Kopan hill, which rises up out of the terraced fields of the Kathmandu valley and is visible for miles. Dominated by a magnificent bodhi tree, it was once the home of the astrologer to the king of Nepal. This same hill is now the home of Kopan Monastery, a monastery in the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism under the guidance of Lama Zopa Rinpoche. The air is clean and the view across the valley magical. After visit of Kopan. After Kopan you then drive to Dhulikhel a small hilly town from a trade route to Tibet, it is rich in culture and vantage point to see panoramic Himalayan view.

Day 03: Breakfast in hotel. Visit Namobuddha monastery, drive back to Kathmandu

After breakfast visit Namobuddha monastery which is extremely beautiful and offers the best landscape panorama of hills. There are several big and small monasteries, and stupas, prayer flags and the inside as well outside design of monastery is amazing. The legend says and many believes over 6000 years back a prince gave his life to save a life of tigress because her five babies were still sucking milk from her. The tigress left nothing but bones, and those bones were brought back in the village and buried, where lies the actual stupa of Namo Buddha. Then after about 3500 years later, Gautam Buddha came to the village and conducted three tours around stupa. He declared that he was the reincarnation of the prince and in the same moment Buddha renamed the village which is henceforth the name of Namo Buddha meaning homage to Buddha. Drive back to Kathmandu visiting Patan and learn further the way of life from different perspective, Buddhism that mix with Hinduism here. There are tha the attraction in Patan - Vihara, Jana Bahal, Mahabouddha, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, Rudra Varna Mahavihar.

Drive back to Kathmandu for a quick sightseeing of Patan city (Vihara, Jana Bahal, Mahabouddha, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, Rudra Varna Mahavihar). Overnight in Hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 04: After breakfast drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Overnight in hotel at Lumbini.

After breakfast drive leisurely to Lumbini 258 km, about 6 hours drive, seeing how the country is richly blessed by God, the houses dotted on the hill, great rives flowing to the south and encounter numerous lovely villages enroute. Lumbini is the Buddha's birthplace, one of the world's most important spiritual sites and attracts Buddhist pilgrims from around the world. After arriving in Lumbini, you will explore Lumbini sacred Garden and visit numerous monasteries. The next two days is going to be even interesting.

Mayadevi Temple is the most sacred site in the Lumbini Garden where archaeologists have identified the exact spot where Lord Buddha was born. Inscriptions on the Ashoka Pillar nearby also refer to the spot as his birthplace. It is said that the newly born Prince Siddhartha (later became the Buddha) took his first seven steps and delivered his peace message to humanity here. Walk around the garden or find a quiet spot to contemplate. The focal point for pilgrims is a sandstone carving depicting the birth of the Buddha, believed to have been left here by the Malla King Ripu Malla, in the 14th century, when Mayadevi was worshipped as an incarnation of a Hindu mother goddess. The Ashoka Pillar was built by the great Indian Emperor Ashoka who became a devout Buddhist while visiting the birthplace of the Buddha back in 249 BC

Day 05: Breakfast in hotel. Full day sightseeing of Kapilbastu - Buddhist temples, monastery and religious activities. Overnight in hotel at Lumbini.

Spend full day at TILAURAKOT, capital of kapilvastu and the home of King Suddhodhana, father of prince Siddhartha who later went on to become the Buddha. This is believed to be the place where Lord Buddha spent the first 29 years of his princely life. It is 27 KM from Lumbini

Day 06: Fly back to Kathmandu. Sightseeing of Asura Cave and other Buddhist Monastery in south of Kathmandu.Overnight in hotel at Kathmandu.

When you fly back to Kathmandu, you then drive to Pharping, 21 kilometer south from Kathmandu is sacred site of Yanglesho where Guru Padmasambhava attained level of a Mahamudra Vidyadhara. Pharping town is a thriving Newari town that’s ancient Buddhist pilgrimage sites have been taken over by large numbers of Tibetans. However more specifically it is referring to two caves in which Guru Rinpoche is said to have meditated. One is located on the hillside behind and above Pharping, commonly known as Asura Cave or the 'Upper cave of Yangleshö'. The other one is located slightly below Pharping, about a five minute walk outside of town and known as 'Lower cave of Yangleshö' or simply Yangleshö. Return to Kathmandu for overnight stay.

Day 07: Free till the departure time. Transfer to the airport to board the flight to the onward destination.

You are free until you pickup from your hotel. Transfer to airport. Depart Kathmandu. Hoping to see you next time again.
