Nepal’s latest entry procedure dated from 26th March 2021

Nepal is opened for tourism activities but there is some restriction on getting visa either aboard your home country or on arrival at Kathmandu airport. These are the procedures’

You can apply Nepal visa at your nearest Nepalese consulate in your place online through this link , to do so you must have a recommendation letter from one of travel / trekking agency in Nepal who sent it to you via Nepal Tourism board or Department of Tourism. Get visa by submitting documents like PCR test report, passport and recommendation letter from Kathmandu’s agency at your home country.

Upon arriving in Kathmandu you need to retest your Covid-19 status which takes just few hours. This is to be done by you at your expense; hotel and agency can help you. It does not cost more than US$25. It takes few hours to get test result, until you get report you are required to stay at Hotel. If you get negative result then you can go on to do your activities.

Same procedures to get on arrival visa. You must have recommendation letter from local agency to present at airport, negative pcr report of 72 hours and do the test as stated above after arriving Kathmandu hotel.

What you need  understand is that th he visa on arrival is not is not granted  just like that. It has conditions like stated above.

What we suggest is it is lot easier to get the visa from the Nepali embassy in your home country.
